Poached pears – Mayo Clinic

Components

  1. 1 cup orange juice
  2. 1 1/4 cups apple juice
  3. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  4. 1 teaspoon floor nutmeg
  5. 4 complete pears
  6. 1/2 cup clean raspberries
  7. 2 tablespoons orange zest

Instructions

In a tiny bowl, blend the juices, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir to combine evenly.

Peel the pears and leave the stems. Eliminate the core from the base of the pear. Area in a shallow pan. Add the juice combination to the pan and set more than medium warmth. Simmer for about 30 minutes, turning pears frequently. Will not boil.

Transfer the pears to unique serving plates. Garnish with raspberries and orange zest and serve promptly.
